About
As the first British rock band to be fronted by a Latin American migrant, The Youth Play prove that British music is at its best when it’s diverse, fearless, and used as a catalyst for change.
Frontman Diego is from Mexico City, and was once an environmental scientist – he met the rest of the band when coming to the UK to study music, as he felt he could make more impact in the world through his poetry and his art. The EP explores how people strive to find joy throughout times of desperation and hopelessness, as his lyrics discuss the migrant experience, the climate crisis, and political injustice.
The band are fresh of an EU tour with Been Stellar, and a UK tour with October Drift.
