About
Born in Nottingham to a large musical family of Irish decent, Kezia pulls influences from a wide range of genres including Folk & Irish, Country, Rock and Blues, thus making her sound completely unique. With the songwriting ability of a country artist, the stage presence of a rockstar and the voice of the blues, she makes every song her own.
The last 5 years have seen Kezia rise from an emerging artist on The British CMA Horizon Stage in 2018, to an award winning, sell out “must see” on the UK music scene. Her 2021 EP ‘The Mess I Made’ won Album of the Year at the BCMA’s, also taking home Song of The Year (I’m Here) and Entertainer of the Year.
Getting radio play across both regional and national stations has seen Kezia‘s audience grow over the last 2 years. Her music has been regularly aired on BBC Radio 2, and has gained much support across the network, especially from Bob Harris.
2022 was a solid continuation of her steady rise in success. Opening for Tony Hadley and The Shires on their UK tours saw her audience grow substantially. After appearing on BBC One’s TV show “I Can See Your Voice” her popularity continued to grow. Finally heading out on her own headline tour in November, Kezia Sold Out 12 of the 13 dates. She rounded off another successful year when she took home the BCMA awards for “Best Female” and “Entertainer of The Year”.
2023 is proving to be her best year yet. High profile performances including the OVO Hydro Arena, The Indigo at The 02 (BBC Radio 2 stage) for C2C Festival, The Long Road Festival and Bruce Springsteen Support at BST Hyde Park has cemented her as one of the UK’s most exciting up and coming artists. With the release of her critically acclaimed new album ‘Misfit’ and her second national headline tour on the horizon, what’s coming next from Kezia Gill is definitely worth sticking around for!
