Through the lush folk and earthy Americana of her sophomore record “To Be Clear”, singer-songwriter Mia Kelly, from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada establishes herself as a spellbinding voice, blurring the lines between intimate memoir and compelling, semi-fictional narratives. Performing in both French and English, Kelly enthrals listeners with a distinctive blend of Folk, Rock, and Blues, while swiftly gaining recognition for her rich, poetic lyricism.
Years of troubadouring have seen Mia carve out a name for herself, sharing stages with celebrated artists such as Bobby Bazini, Good Lovelies, The Franklin Electric, Julian Taylor, Charm of Finches, Daniel Champagne and Blair Dunlop. Her 2022 debut album, Garden Through the War garnered widespread acclaim, earning her Young Performer of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2024 Canadian Folk Music Awards. Continuing her momentum, To Be Clear” received high praise, with its song Meaning Well (co-written with Blair Dunlop) nominated for Single of the Year at the 2025 Canadian Folk Music Awards. The album also received four nominations for the 2025 Capital Music Awards including Single, Album, Production/Arrangement and Video of the Year.

On the international stage, she has toured with Australia’s Charm of Finches, and UK artist Blair Dunlop. She has performed at the Canadian High Commission in London, UK for Canada Day in 2024 and was a finalist in the 2023 Jeux de la Francophonie in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
