Morganway

About

Championed by the likes of Planet Rock radio and Whispering Bob Harris, Morganway has earned a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting live acts. Following sold-out tours across the UK and Germany, and support slots with artists as diverse as Belle & Sebastian, Skunk Anansie, Elles Bailey, Sunny Sweeney and Fanny Lumsden, their cross-pollinating sound continues to thrive on the festival circuit. With mainstage appearances at Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Country Calling, Fairport’s Cropredy Convention, The Long Road, Towersey Folk Festival and Belladrum; the multi award-winning band have been crowned the BCMA’s Group of the Year for four consecutive years and were nominated for Live Act of the Year at the 2025 UK Americana Awards.

Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of SJ Mortimer – exuding ethereal qualities akin to Stevie Nicks and Woodstock gravel of Janis Joplin. Morganway’s line-up also features Kieran Morgan on lead guitar (husband to SJ), Nicole J Terry’s electrifying fiddle, Matt Brocklehurst’s rich keys, and the driving rhythms of Ed ‘Steady’ Bullinger on drums. Their latest album ‘Kill The Silence’ cemented Morganway’s reputation as an act on the rise, charting at #4 on the Independent Album Breakers Chart, #9 on the Americana Chart, #15 on the Independent Album Chart and #16 on the Record Store Chart. The record also powered their most successful headline tour to date in 2025, with the band championing sustainable touring through exclusive self produced, upcycled merchandise.

Their latest single, a reimagined Americana take on Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club, showcases Morganway’s fearless creativity, reworking pop into something raw, raucous and uniquely their own. With their sights now set on America, the band are an official showcase artist for Folk Alliance International 2026 in New Orleans. Morganway stand on the cusp of a bold new era — one that promises to push their sound, their reach, and their fire further than ever before.
