Cable Street Collective

About

“…shoulders dipping, feet moving and hands clapping. They are a blast of pure sunshine, a funk/soul/highlife tornado and the perfect party band.” – Bristol24/7

London’s Cable Street Collective have been favourites on the festival circuit since the release of their first EP, The Best of Times, in 2014, and have built up a stellar reputation as a live band, playing Glastonbury (Avalon Stage), Boomtown, Latitude, Secret Garden Party, Bestival, The Isle of Wight Festival, and the Lake of Stars Festival (Malawi).

Their sound mixes African-influenced guitars and beats with soulful female vocals, socially conscious lyrics and western melodies, creating an idiosyncratic alt-pop sound that’s all
their own. Their sets are guaranteed to get everyone to their feet.

Their second EP, Where Now From Here? (2018) earned them critical plaudits and radio play on BBC Radio 6Music, Radio X and Amazing Radio, among others. All singles released from their latest album Battle Lines have enjoyed support from BBC Radio 6Music.
