About
Grace Davies is a 28-year-old singer, songwriter, musician and producer from Blackburn, Lancashire. Since she began making music she has scored huge success, with over 100M+ streams for her songs on Spotify alone, support across the board at radio and acclaim everywhere from The Sunday Times to the BBC.
In 2024 she signed an Artist Services deal with Believe which gave her access to their full teams, in the UK and internationally. In the months that followed she began releasing new music, and already has had spins on BBC Radio 1’s “Future Pop” with Mollie King, received a generous BPI/MEGS funding allocation, and has enjoyed viral success via the Central TikTok Creator Marketing fund.
At the age of 18, Grace’s first self-released project received national BBC Introducing support, was championed by BBC 6 Music and had a track remixed by Radio 1 Dance Music DJ, Danny Howard. In 2017, she was invited to appear on the X Factor and her audition video of original song ‘roots’ went viral. In a first for the show, Grace shook up the format by showcasing her original material throughout the competition and triumphed as runner up – gaining a top 2 iTunes chart position and numerous top 10s.
2020 marked the start of a new era in Grace’s career – her debut EP Friends With The Tragic reaffirmed her reputation as an exceptional songwriter. Following the closure of her former label SYCO, she self-released her second EP I Wonder If You Wonder in 2021, which was an even bigger success – with standout release ‘roots’ (written solely by Grace), reaching the Top 3 in the UK iTunes Single Charts, the Official Charts Top 100 and the UK Big Top 40, as well as plays on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, Heart & Capital FM. Her last EP, It Wasn’t Perfect, But We Tried sees her at her most confident and in the producer’s chair for the first time. As well as writing credits on all five songs, she co-produced three tracks, and fully produced two of the tracks herself, proving her a true multi-hyphenate.
In 2023, Grace was handpicked to write the official song of the European Athletics Championships in Rome. ‘Illuminate’ was released in April 2024, and was heard around the world, being used as an integral part of the EAC’s digital content before, during and after the championships. The song was played daily in the Olympic Stadium throughout the competition, and was used on the European Athletics broadcast coverage from Rome, distributed by the European Broadcasting Union, as well as the Eurovision Sport platform. The Association were so happy with the song, that they invited her to Rome to perform at the closing medal ceremony on the final night of the championships. She sang ‘Illuminate’ and her hit song ‘roots’, and her performance was a key highlight of the celebrations. She also returned later in the year to perform as a special guest at the Golden Tracks Gala – an EAC awards ceremony held in North Macedonia.
Last summer, Anne-Marie and Volvic launched an Emerging Artists competition, inviting up-and-coming artists to compete for a chance to perform at BST Hyde Park, supporting Shania Twain. Grace was shortlisted by the BST judging panel and went on to win the public vote, securing the coveted performance slot on 7 July. She performed a sold out show at the Notting Hill Arts Club in October and has just closed out a sold out headline show at Colours Hoxton on 20 March.
Her catalogue continues to gain in popularity for sync on international TV programmes, including Love Island, Love Island All Stars, Britain’s Got Talent, Masterchef UK, I’m A Celebrity (Get Me Out Of Here), American Idol, Strictly Come Dancing & It Takes Two, Eastenders, Hollyoaks, TOWIE, The Voice Kids, Unbreakable, Fox’s The Farmer Wants A Wife, BT Sport, Home & Away, Netflix’s The One & MTV’s Catfish UK.
Grace has had a consistent stream of incredibly crafted music that deeply connected her to her listeners; part of that body of work includes single ‘A Wonderful, Boring, Normal Life’ which generated acknowledgement from Clash Magazine and The Official Charts Company, alongside ‘Another Night,’ which garnered press support from the likes of EUPHORIA and DORK, TV support from Sunday Brunch, and extensive Radio support from BBC Radio 1. Recent single ‘Do Or Die’ received coverage from key tastemakers MTV UK and Clash, and upcoming single ‘MDE’ appears on The Independent’s Now Hear This playlist, and Grace will be their featured ‘Artist Spotlight’ for April.
With her distinct voice and magnetic stage presence, Grace will continue to captivate audiences and critics alike in 2025, as she prepares for more music releases.
