About
Raw and intimately moving, British Chilean singer-songwriter Naomi in Blue is a striking journey into alternative guitar-driven power and intricate songwriting, with shades of nueva canción, all anchored in Naomi’s remarkable voice. Drawing on Nick Cave’s declarative vocal projections as much as Jeff Buckley’s haunting guitar and Angel Olsen’s heart-worn lyricism, she moves seamlessly between explosive rock and emotive storytelling.
Following the release of 2021’s debut EP An Experiment and 2024’s follow-up It Takes Time, Naomi has honed the clarion call of her songwriting skill through headline shows at the historic 1,000-cap el Teatro de la Ciudad Esperanza Iris and el Foro del Tejedor in Mexico City, a joint headline tour in both Chile and the UK with acclaimed Chilean band Matorral, and extensive shows at stalwart London pub stages the Troubadour, Moth Club and the Victoria.
Her debut album Is This Body Mine? was released on Mad Made Tigers in October 2026, and has received support from BBC 6 Music and Radio X. Far Out magazine gave it five stars, saying: “These songs are the sounds of the human soul being set to music… Probably more than any other album this year – maybe even the decade so far – Is This Body Mine? is an overwhelming album to experience.”
“The album is a collection of songs from the past decade tracing identity, friendship and love as a woman. But there’s also darkness and reflections on experiences of violence and that of the world around,” Naomi says.
Naomi in Blue is currently collaborating with the Royal Court Theatre as the musical artist selected to represent their 2027 season with the single ‘Who Knows’. The season trailer was released as a music video, featuring Oscar-winning actor Jessie Buckley and Olivier-winner Juliet Stevenson.
